During a production process, threading applications are one of the last stages of machining before finishing the workpiece. A thread can be made on an internal surface (nut screw) or executed on an external surface (screw).
These two different applications mainly involve the use of taps, thread milling cutters and specific tools with indexable iserts for internal threads, while for the external threading of a piece are usually used dies or, alternatively, tools with indexable inserts.
The company Angelo Ghezzi & C. Spa, thanks to the ILIX and TANOI threading programs, offers a complete range of taps in Hss, Hss-Co, Hss-Co PM and solid carbide. The selection of taps proposed, both hand-taps and machine-taps, is wide and exhaustive in terms of threading profiles (M, MF, UNF, UNC, BSW/W, BSP/G, NPT, UN, RP, TR), specific tolerances (4H, 6H, 6HX, 6G, 6GX, 7G, 7GX, 2B, 2BX, 3B) and executions with straight or spiral flute, respectively for through holes or blind holes.
In the ILIX program are also proposed thread milling cutters in solid carbide and with indexable inserts.
The threading solutions are also extended in the TALICARB program that provides tools and indexable inserts with a full profile.
With regard to external threading, through the JBO program, Angelo Ghezzi & C. Spa offers a complete range of dies for traditional use, for automatic machines and rolling dies, in Hss, Hss-Co and Hss-Co PM.
