At the end of a drilling process there is often a need to correct the axiality, the diameter and the finishing of the holes previously made.
This operation is better known as reaming.
This is a light finishing, which is performed using a multi-cutting tool (reamer) able to optimize the previous drilling bringing the quality of the hole to a higher precision. The rotary motion of a reamer increases the diameter of the hole and brings it slowly to the correct value.
This can be done by hand or through the use of a machine.
ILIX reamers, made of HSS, HSS-Co and solid carbide, represent a very important section in the range of tools proposed by Angelo Ghezzi & C. Spa.
Specifically, the most representative products of this section are reamers with helical execution, H7 or centesimal, which guarantee durability and reliability in reaching tight tolerances and extremely accurate surface roughness values of the hole.
